Given that a standardized robotic welding training curriculum does not currently exist, what steps will you take to ensure that the training meets industry standards and prepares the trainees for real-life welding scenarios?

I roughly understand why Spyce has shut down it’s business and sale it out to Evergreen; one of the main reasons is “no U.S patent.” I am the owner who has two pieces of U.S. Patnets of “STIR-FRYER.” That is the core of Spyce Robotic Kitchen. I started the R&D of the robotic kitchen in 2008; I currently use my Taiwan, China, and the U.S.A. patent of “STIR-FRYER” to manufacture a Robotic Kitchen 2.0 running a Fast-Food Cafe in southern Taiwan. The purpose I contact you is to hope you to assist me in finding a VC to rebuild a similar SPYCE Robotic Kitchen in US.

Wonder what Jibo would be like with ChatGPT4 mapped into it now? That seems like it could be insane. Not sure how that would work with teaching the robot to move and physically do things… but man… chatgpt + jibo may have been special.

Or maybe even make Jibo a simple alexa/gooogle home- enabled device? Then allow developers to add skills for movement and interaction?

The AI technology seems to have exploded since jibo went dead… just seems like such a waste of hardware engineering effort (and still an opportunity sitting there with the new ai available)

This is good for BG, as it was getting low on cash and burning about $10M/quarter. It is not great for the logistics automation industry as BG is by far the largest player in terms of revenue and revenue growth, but demonstrates the extremely high COGS and company overhead, including very expensive s/w engineering costs.

She should be ashamed of her lack of commitment to maintaining Jibo’s servers and turning her back on all the suckers, er... purchasers that bought Jibos on faith and the reputation of MIT. And with all it's resources, both financial and intellectual MIT should have stepped up and maintained Jibo. They lost a tremendous opportunity to further the research into “social robots” and enhance their own reputation as a cutting-edge educational institution and incubator of innovative businesses.
