Elmo Motion Control, a leading provider of high-tech motion control solutions, will be showcasing some of its latest servo drives and motion controllers in booth 400 at the Robotics Summit and Showcase. Click here to view the exhibitor directory for the Robotics Summit.
Elmo Motion Control’s West Coast Business Development Manager, Brian Mason, will deliver a session at the Robotics Summit called “Making Smart Robotics Smarter.” At the core of all dynamic and mobile robotic applications is the ability to move about with motion that is precise, smooth, and above all safe. As more and more small to medium sized companies are entering the realm of robotics, innovative motion implementation tools are expected to simplify set-up, reduce time-to-market, and improve overall performance. The impact of advanced servo technology goes beyond the actualization of motion, with considerable effects on footprint, efficiency, and safety.
Register by May 4 to save 20 percent with early bird registration. Taking place May 23-24 in Boston, the Robotics Summit is a multifaceted educational event dedicated to addressing the technical issues involved with developing commercial robotics and intelligent systems. Here’s a quick look at some of the product Elmo Motion Control will be displaying in booth 400 at the Robotics Summit.
Gold Twitter Servo Drive
At just 18 grams and less than 13 cm3, the Gold Twitter is the world’s smallest most powerful and advanced servo drive.
It is capable of delivering over 5,000W of power and ultra-high current up to 80A/80V.
The drive is compliant with international safety, EMC standards, and STO certification (TÜV). The Gold-Twitter is an excellent solution for space-limited robotic applications requiring top servo performance.
Its tiny size allows it to be “Mounted Anywhere,” within robotic joints, in close proximity to the motor, or on a moving axis. This also contributes to reduced hardware, cabling, and labor.
Double Gold Twitter Servo Drive
With a weight of only 33 grams and continuous currents of 160A (80V), the new Double Gold Twitter servo drive delivers over 10,000W of qualitative power.
It is the smallest STO-certified (IEC 61800-5-2, SIL-3) servo drive on the market.
It features Elmo’s proprietary and innovative Fast and Soft Power Switching Technology (FASST), which ensures optimal power-device switching and delivers over 99% efficiency and negligible EMI.
This extreme efficiency allows for its miniature size to be placed on a moving load, on or inside the motor, helping save space, improve machine performance, reduce cables and eliminate electrical cabinets, while delivering unprecedented power.
Platinum Maestro Multi-axis EtherCAT Motion Controller
The Platinum Maestro is an advanced multi-axis EtherCAT motion controller. It is a high performance motion master with extremely efficient networking capabilities, ideal for applications where motion really matters.
The Platinum Maestro is capable of working with the Gold Drive family with cycle times down to 250 for 32 axes – and together with the launching of the NEW Platinum Drive family soon – cycle times of down to 100us with 8 axes will be supported.
The Platinum is an ideal controller for robotic applications, top precision inspection machines, or any other high performance multi-axis technologies. Available IEC programming and visualization support along with onboard I/O support.
